9. Covenant House New York The Health Services Department is a comprehensive primary care clinic serving homeless, runaway and at-risk young people up to 21 years of age. We also provide medical services for adolescent mothers and their babies. Our staff consists of a Medical Director, an Administrator, pediatricians, internists, mental health providers, and physician assistants. They are supported by primary care nurses, a health educator, medical assistants, laboratory technicians, a pharmacist, and clerical staff. There are no client fees or waiting lists for services. The clinic is open seven days a week: Monday- Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, on Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. Covenant House New York provides health services to its residents and to any young person in the New York City area without other health care options. Youth who are not Covenant House New York residents are requested to use the clinic between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, so that we are able to serve our residents during the evening hours.
