PRO-A PRO-A is a statewide non-profit organization in Pennsylvania dedicated to supporting and educating the public on addiction and recovery and to give a voice and focal point to the statewide recovery community in PA. Through this organization, members can join together to support quality services, combat the stigma and represent the unique perspective of the recovery community in Pennsylvania.

7. Secular Organizations for Sobriety (SOS) Also known as Save Our Selves, SOS provides a successful and increasingly popular non-religious alternative to "Twelve Step" recovery programs. SOS is an alternative recovery method for those alcoholics or drug addicts who are uncomfortable with the spiritual content of widely available 12-Step programs. SOS takes a reasonable, secular approach to recovery and maintains that sobriety is a separate issue from religion or spirituality. SOS credits the individual for achieving and maintaining his or her own sobriety, without reliance on any "Higher Power."
